I Believe...

I believe in the omniscient God, the loving Father Almighty, creator and ruler of our Universe, who also knows my name

I believe in Jesus Christ, God's only Son, our Lord, who was born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried, rose from the dead, and who now intercedes for us in the heavenly sanctuary

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Comforter who was sent to convict us of sin and lead us to seek forgiveness from our Heavenly Father

I believe that angels are the ministering spirits created by God and sent to earth to assist and protect us

I believe that there is a Devil, a former angel, who rebelled against God, caused war in Heaven, was forcibly removed from Heaven, was defeated at the cross, and who now seeks to tempt and ensnare people everywhere

I believe that sin is the transgression of God's law and its penalty is eternal death and separation from God, but that forgiveness is freely given after a complete confession is made

I believe that death is a sleep, a state of unconscious existence where the breath (spirit) separates from the physical body and goes to God in Heaven. This spirit or breath, which has no ability to think, feel, or act, will be reunited with the physical body at the Second Coming of Jesus when He resurrects His faithful followers and invites them to live with Him in eternal glory

I believe that Hell is a physical place of total destruction by fire for Satan and his angels and all who reject God's mercy. Those who choose not to accept Jesus and His free gift of salvation accept the punishment of their own sins and pay for them with their own blood. However, even in Hell God shows His mercy by bringing it to a final end in the second death

I believe that Jesus is coming again to resurrect the faithful dead, gather the faithful living, and pronounce final judgement on a wicked and fallen world

I believe that the Law of God is valid, binding, and eternal and that we have no right to change any part of it, for any reason, but that Jesus died to pay the price for our transgression of it

I believe that the seventh day Sabbath is a sign of God's right to rule. In His law He commands that we honor and reverence that day. By keeping the seventh day holy, we signal our obedience to Him
